Shell Beach Bluff Trail
This almost 1 mile out-and-back trail is perfect for those just wanting a leisurely stroll on a flat path with gorgeous views. Just head to the Cave Landing Trail Parking Lot to find the Trailhead!
Spring to Spring Trail in the Pismo Preserve
A little bit longer, this 3.8 mile loop trail has nice views of the coast and Pismo Beach as well as the beautiful blooming wildflowers! Just head to the Pismo Preserve Parking Lot for the trailhead.
Monarch Butterfly Grove + Meadow Creek Trail at Pismo State Beach
This 1.5 mile out-and-back trail is popular for bird-watching and Monarch butterfly spotting! Street parking available, just head to the Pismo State Beach Butterfly Grove.
For the active hiker
Discovery Trail at the Pismo Preserve
5.4 miles in length, this loop trail is popular with hikers, horseback riders, and bird watchers! With 672 feet of elevation gain, it's perfect for those looking to get in a little exercise while also experiencing the gorgeous views! Just head to the Pismo Preserve Parking Lot for the trailhead.
Cave Landing + Pirates Cove at Pismo Beach
2 miles in total, this out-and-back trail is great for running, walking, and hiking with spectacular views of the water during the entire walk! And make sure you don’t miss the sea cave at the end! Just head to Cave Landing Trail Parking to find the trailhead!
